Dandelions look so delicate and fragile. But they are such a remarkably strong, resilient plant - a weed actually. The bain of most gardeners. But, let’s talk about the flowers that turn into a globe of delicate seeds… oh my!

Is there anyone who hasn’t sent dandelion seeds gliding through the summer air with one carefully directed exhale of breath?

Summer cherries. When I see all those tiny fruits piled up in the bin of the produce aisle my mind goes racing. I start thinking about how I might make them the hero of a photograph. Next, I start thinking about what recipes to dig out just so I can incorporate these little red beauties as the star ingredient.

What would summer be without a cool pair of sunglasses? BUT… they have to be C-O-O-L sunglasses.

Here we are in the month of July. The daylight is hanging around a little longer, the mercury in the thermometer jumped up, Farmers Market has returned, folks are traveling, children are playing on the slip-n-slide… all signals that we have made it to the summer season of 2021.
